Nick "Buff" Maglio (2011)

-Founder of our Brooklyn Kiwnais Baseball League, the 1st wood bat league in NYC

-Beloved longtime baseball & basketball coach at New Utrecht HS, Brooklyn Friends & Ty Cobb

-Won the battle to make baseball safer & use wood bats in all of NYC

-Helped fund to get the lights installed at Bay 8th Street fields 1 & 1a, which is renamed in his honor

-Lived his motto which we continue today: "Serving Youth through Sports."
