The Brooklyn Kiwanis Baseball

Inaugural 14u Fall 🍁⚾️ League 

-Players can have turned 15 after April 30 of this year (2026)

*COMMITMENTS ARE DUE BY FRIDAY, AUGUST 21

Tentative plan: 
8 weekends beginning September 12 & 13
The first 6 weekends: each team will be scheduled to play a doubleheader
(if available) on either Saturday or Sunday.
The last 2 weekends: we will have an optional single elimination tournament format playoff
(winning team receives a team trophy).
 
All teams qualify for the optional playoffs and will be seeded by winning % of games played.
Teams MUST be available to possibly play multiple games on
1 or BOTH days of the 2 playoff weekends.
 
Games will be held at Bay 8th Street field 1 (possibly others)
 
Rosters are capped at 20 players and changes are possible up until
the designated cutoff date determined by the league (TBD).
 
*Only up to the first 8 teams committed will be accepted so email us: ump017@aol.com

In Memoriam to the friends of Brooklyn Baseball who are no longer with us...

 Nick "Buff" Maglio (2011)

-Founder of our Brooklyn Kiwnais Baseball League, the 1st wood bat league in NYC

-Beloved longtime baseball & basketball coach at New Utrecht HS, Brooklyn Friends & Ty Cobb

-Won the battle to make baseball safer & use wood bats in all of NYC

-Helped fund to get the lights installed at Bay 8th Street fields 1 & 1a (1a is renamed in his honor)

-Lived his motto which we continue today: "Serving Youth through Sports."  

John DeStefano (2024) -Beloved coach & friend to Brooklyn Kiwanis Baseball & founder of Brooklyn Pitbulls Baseball

Lou Barletta (2025) -Local coach & most recent president of the former Brooklyn Baseball League - aka: BBL
