Four Stars of the Week - Week Ten

We are proud to announce our selections for the Maine Four Stars of the Week! This honors the outstanding individual achievement from the five classes. This represents the final Stars of the Week nomination of the season. As is our tradition during the final week of our awards, and due to there being only four schools in each class, here are our selections for the stars of Week Ten.

Our Class A Star of the Week is Terion Moss of Portland. In the Bulldogs 27-13 win at Lewiston, Terion went 3 for 7, passing for 34 yards and a touchdown 
while running 24 times for 170 yards and three touchdowns. He joins other previous Portland alumni such as Issiah Bachelder(2016, 2015), Joe Esposito(2015), Jordan Talbot(2013), and Imadhi Zagon(2010 & 2009).

Our Class B Star of the Week is Garrett Aube of Falmouth. During the Yachtsmen's 32-20 win at Kennebunk, Garrett ran for 128 yards, ran for two touchdowns, and returned an interception for a touchdown. He joins other previously nominated Falmouth alumni such as Jack Bryant(2017), Connor Aube(2015 & 2014), Matt Kingry(2011), Jack Cooleen(2010), and Zach Alexander(2010).

The Class C Star of the Week is Pedro Matos of Maine Central Institute. During the Huskies 43-42 win against Winslow, Pedro ran for 116 yards, had two touchdown runs, and caught a pass for a touchdown. He joins other prior MCI alumni such as Josh Buker(2016), Willie Moss(2015), Greg Vigue(2015 & 2014), Jonathan Santiago(2013), Craig Reazor(2010), and Tyler Rednour(2009).

Our Class D/E Star of the Week is Carter Tolmasoff of Bucksport. In the Golden Bucks 49-6 win over Mattanawcook Academy, Carter ran for 154 yards and three touchdowns while catching six passes for 94 yards and another touchdown. He joins other past nominated Bucksport alumni such as Chase Carmichael(2017), Matt Vincent(2016), Jack Cyr(2014), Matthew Stewart(2014), Josh Gray(2012), Mike Cummings(2011), and Vinny Tymoczko(2009).

Four Stars of the Week - Week Nine

We are proud to announce our selections for the Maine Four Stars of the Week! This honors the outstanding individual achievement from the five classes. Here are our selections for the stars and honorable mentions of Week Nine.

Our Class A Star of the Week is Connor Sirois of Bonny Eagle. During the Scots 61-20 win against Deering, Connor went 6 for 8 for 104 yards, threw four touchdown passes, and ran seven times for 104 yards. This is the second time he's been named a Star of the Week. He joins other prior Bonny Eagle alumni such as Cam Day(2016), Alex Sprague(2016), Zach Brannon(2015), Matt Smith(2014), Zach Dubiel(2013), Tyson Goodale(2012 & 2011), Matt Rollins(2010), and Ryan Nason(2009).
The 1st honorable mention is Alex Sprague, also of Bonny Eagle. Alex had 15 carries for 167 yards and two touchdowns, he returned a kickoff for a touchdown, and he caught two passes for 34 yards to help the Scots beat Deering.
The 2nd honorable mention is Tanner Bernier of Windham. Tanner went 13 for 31, throwing for 183 yards, and threw two touchdown passes to lead the Eagles over Cheverus.

Our Class B Star of the Week is Cody Wood of Brewer. During the Witches 29-28 victory against Messalonskee, Cody threw for 263 yards and a touchdown. He joins other prior nominated Brewer alumni such as Bryant Kiley(2017), Ray Wood(2016), Logan Rogerson(2015), and Jaime Williamson(2009).
The 1st honorable mention is Jack Bryant of Falmouth. Jack went 5 for 9, through for 154 yards and four touchdowns to help the Yachtsmen defeat Westbrook.
The 2nd honorable mention is Dalton Dickey of Brunswick. Dalton had 22 carries for 125 yards and two touchdowns as Brunswick beat Cony.

The Class C Star of the Week is Michael Norton, Jr. of Oceanside. During the Mariners 40-33 win at Hermon, Michael had 17 carries for 247 yards and five touchdowns along with two two-point conversions. This is the fourth time this season he had been named a Star of the Week. He joins former Cony quarterback Ben Lucas and former Bonny Eagle quarterback Tyson Goodale as just the third person in the history of our award program to get nominated four times in a season. He joins other prior Oceanside/Rockland alumni such as Brandon DeBrosky(2016), Sam Meklin(2012 & 2010), Derek Miller(2010), and Tyler Fogg(2009).
The 1st honorable mention is Ben Dorval of Winslow. Ben had 19 carries for 148 yards and four touchdowns as the Black Raiders defeated Waterville.
The 2nd honorable mention is Tim Albert of Leavitt. Tim threw a touchdown pass and ran for two touchdowns to help the Hornets beat Yarmouth.

Our Class D/E Star of the Week is Sean Whalen of Madison. In the Bulldogs 49-14 win against Dirigo, Sean ran for 122 yards and four touchdowns while gaining 90 yards receiving and scoring a reception touchdown. This is the third time this season that Sean has been named a Star of the Week. He joins other former Madison nominated alumni such as Chase Malloy(2015) and Cody Saucier(2014).
The 1st honorable mention is Jacob Blanchard of Mountain Valley. Jacob had 16 carries for 154 yards and two touchdowns, while also intercepting a pass, as the Falcons defeated Spruce Mountain.
The 2nd honorable mention is Tyler Bridge of Wells. Tyler had ten carries for 198 yards and two touchdowns to help the Warriors beat Yarmouth.

Four Stars of the Week - Week Eight

We are proud to announce our selections for the Maine Four Stars of the Week! This honors the outstanding individual achievement from the five classes. Here are our selections for the stars and honorable mentions of Week Eight.

Our Class A Star of the Week is Jake Poole of South Portland. During the Red Riots' 34-17 victory against Portland, Jake went 10 for 13 for 200 yards and 2 touchdowns while also rushing for 100 yards and two more touchdowns. This is the second time he's been named a Star of the Week. He joins other previous South Portland nominated alumni such as Duncan Preston(2013), Michael Salvatore(2011), and Ryan Curit(2009).
The 1st honorable mention is Garrett Poussard of Lewiston. Garrett had 25 carries for 140 yards, he ran for two touchdowns, and he recovered a fumble for a touchdown to help the Blue Devils defeat Edward Little.
The 2nd honorable mention is Tanner Bernier of Windham. Tanner threw two touchdown passes and ran for another touchdown for the Eagles as the beat Bangor.

Our Class B Star of the Week is Isaiah Schooler of Lawrence. During the Bulldogs 41-27 win against Messalonskee, Isaiah had 25 carries for 192 yards, he ran for a touchdown, he caught three passes for 81 yards, and he returned a kickoff for a touchdown. He joins other past nominated Lawrence alumni such as Anthony Sementelli(2012), Shaun Carroll(2011), and Christian Powers(2009).
The 1st honorable mention is Adam McKenney of Gorham. Adam had 17 carries for 139 yards and four touchdowns as the Rams beat Westbrook.
The 2nd honorable mention is Marcus Christopher of Skowhegan. Marcus went 21 for 35 for 274 yards with five touchdowns through the air to help the Indians defeat Mt. Blue.

The Class C Star of the Week is Michael Norton, Jr. of Oceanside. In the Mariners 67-26 victory over Belfast, Michael had seven carries for 221 yards and four touchdowns. He also recorded ten tackles and a sack. This is the third team this season he has been named a Star of the Week. He joins other prior Oceanside/Rockland alumni such as Brandon DeBrosky(2016), Sam Meklin(2012 & 2010), Derek Miller(2010), and Tyler Fogg(2009).
The 1st honorable mention is Ryan Weare of Cape Elizabeth. Ryan had 17 carries for 111 yards and three touchdowns to help the Capers defeat York.
The 2nd honorable mention is Ryan Fredette of Winslow. Ryan had 28 carries for 218 yards and a touchdown as the Black Raiders won at Maine Central Institute.

Our Class D/E Star of the Week is Connor Crawford of Ellsworth. During the Eagles 48-12 victory over Washington Academy, Connor went 3 for 4 for 38 yards and threw for a touchdown, he ran 20 times for 210 yards and four touchdowns, he caught a pass for a touchdown, and he scored on a two-point conversion. He joins Devin Wright(2015) as the second Ellsworth nominated alumni.
The 1st honorable mention is Nick Clawson of Foxcroft Academy. Nick threw for 79 yards and a touchdown, while also running 19 times for 156 yards and three touchdowns, as the Ponies beat Mattanawcook Academy.
The 2nd honorable mention is Sean Whalen of Madison. Sean ran for four touchdowns as the Bulldogs beat Spruce Mountain.

We are proud to announce our selections for the Maine Four Stars of the Week! This honors the outstanding individual achievement from the five classes. Here are our selections for the stars and honorable mentions of Week Seven.

Our Class A Star of the Week is Connor Sirois of Bonny Eagle. During the Scots 51-0 win against Deering, Connor went 6 for 9 for 142 yards with three touchdowns while running five times for 45 yards and a touchdown. He joins other previous Bonny Eagle alumni such as Cam Day(2016), Alex Sprague(2016), Zach Brannon(2015), Matt Smith(2014), Zach Dubiel(2013), Tyson Goodale(2012 & 2011), Matt Rollins(2010), and Ryan Nason(2009).
The 1st honorable mention is Grant Hartley of Edward Little. Grant went 14 for 22, throwing for 138 yards with two touchdowns while rushing eight times for 79 yards and a touchdown as the Red Eddies beat Windham.
The 2nd honorable mention is Nick Roberge of Massabesic. Nick went 7-21 for 129 yards and two touchdowns, ran ten times for 51 yards and a touchdown, he intercepted a pass, and he kicked three PATs to help the Mustangs defeat Bangor.

Our Class B Star of the Week is Jon Bell of Skowhegan. In the Indians 58-56 victory over Lawrence, Jon caught five passes for touchdowns. He joins other previously nominated Skowhegan alumni such as Marcus Christopher(2017), Garrett McSweeney(2016 & 2015), Adam Clukey(2013), Adam Dusty(2011), and Kaleb Austin(2010).
The 1st honorable mention is Dalton Dickey of Brunswick. Dalton ran for four touchdowns as the Dragons defeated Mt. Blue.
The 2nd honorable mention is Anthony Sousa of Cony. Anthony went 20-31, passing for 210 yards with three touchdowns, despite through four interceptions, and ran 18 times for 70 yards and a touchdown as the Rams beat Messalonskee.

The Class C Star of the Week is Parker Onorato of Morse. During the Shipbuilders 56-38 win against Lake Region, Parker ran for 300 yards, he got two touchdowns on the ground, he caught two passes for touchdowns, and he intercepted two passes. He joins other prior nominated Morse alumni such as Kevin McKellar(2012 & 2011) and Pat Wolfe(2009).
The 1st honorable mention is Collin Foye of Gardiner. Collin ran for 213 yards and three touchdowns to help the Tigers beat Freeport.
The 2nd honorable mention is Ryan Fredette of Winslow. Ryan had 18 carries for 169 yards and three touchdowns as the Black Raiders defeated Oceanside.

Our Class D/E Star of the Week is Chase Carmichael of Bucksport. During the Golden Bucks 47-6 win against Mount View, Chase threw for 255 yards and six touchdowns, he ran for a touchdown, and he scored on two two-point conversions. He joins other past Bucksport nominated alumni such as Matt Vincent(2016), Jack Cyr(2014), Matthew Stewart(2014), Josh Gray(2012), Mike Cummings(2011), and Vinny Tymoczko(2009).
The 1st honorable mention is Skyler Boucher of Maranacook. Skyler ran for four touchdowns, passed for another touchdown, and had a part in the five two-point conversions as the Black Bears beat Sacopee Valley.
The 2nd honorable mention is Dylan Boudreau of Old Orchard Beach. Dylan completed eight passes for 111 yards while throwing two interceptions. He also ran 30 times for 237 yards and four touchdowns in the Seagulls loss to Spruce Mountain.

Four Stars of the Week - Week Six

We are proud to announce our selections for the Maine Four Stars of the Week! This honors the outstanding individual achievement from the five classes. Here are our selections for the stars and honorable mentions of Week Six.

Our Class A Star of the Week is Zach Mitchell of Thornton Academy. During the Golden Trojans 40-0 victory against Oxford Hills, Will threw for 120 yards with two touchdowns while rushing for 54 yards on nine attempts. This is the second time this season that Zach has been named a Star of the Week. He joins other Thornton Academy alumni such as C.J. LaBreck(2017), Michael Laverriere(2016, 2014), Austin McCrum(2015), Eric Christensen(2012), Steve Trask(2009), and Zach Sheehan(2009).
The 1st honorable mention is Jake Poole of South Portland. Jake went 12 for 22 for 99 yards while running 19 times for 110 yards with two touchdowns and two two-point conversions as the Red Riots defeated Sanford.
The 2nd honorable mention is Connor Sirois of Bonny Eagle. Connor threw 5 for 9 for 41 yards and a touchdown while running four times for 121 yards and two touchdowns as the Scots defeated Massabesic.

Our Class B Star of the Week is Tommy Springer of Marshwood. During the Hawks 42-19 win versus Falmouth, Tommy went 14 for 20, throwing for 186 yards with two touchdowns while also running eight times for 125 yards and two touchdowns. He joins other prior Marshwood nominated alumni such as Zach Doyon(2015), Brett Gerry(2012), and Cameron Roll(2012).
The 1st honorable mention is Marcus Christopher of Skowhegan. Marcus threw for 426 yards with seven touchdowns during the Indians loss to Biddeford.
The 2nd honorable mention is Austin Pelletier of Messalonskee. Austin ran for 256 yards and a touchdown while also intercepting two passes in the Eagles win against Brewer.

The Class C Star of the Week is Michael Norton, Jr. of Oceanside. In the Mariners 57-28 win against John Bapst, Michael ran for 151 yards with three touchdowns, returned a kickoff for a touchdown, recovered a fumble and ran it for a touchdown, and had two sacks. This is the second time this season that Michael has been named a Star of the Week. He joins other past Oceanside/Rockland nominated alumni such as Brandon DeBrosky(2016), Sam Meklin(2012 & 2010), Derek Miller(2010), and Tyler Fogg(2009).
The 1st honorable mention is Tim Albert of Leavitt. Tim went 13-23 for 285 yards with two touchdowns along with 13 carries for 51 yards and a touchdown as Leavitt defeated Cape Elizabeth.
The 2nd honorable mention is Ryan Fredette of Winslow. Ryan had 20 carries for 141 yards and three touchdowns to help Winslow defeat Gardiner.

Our Class D/E Star of the Week is Matthew Young of Mattanawcook Academy. During the Lynx 63-22 win in Dexter, Matthew ran for 147 yards with two touchdowns, he caught a pass for a touchdown, returned a kickoff for a touchdown, had seven 2-point conversions, and kicked a point after try. He joins other previous Mattanawcook Academy nominated alumni such as Scott Jipson(2015) and Trysten Pelkey(2013 & 2012 & 2011).
The 1st honorable mention is Nick Clawson of Foxcroft Academy. Nick went 7 for 8, throwing for 169 yards with two touchdowns while also having nine carries for 85 yards and three touchdowns as the Ponies defeated Mount View.
The 2nd honorable mention is Dylan Desroches of Mountain Valley. Dylan ran 19 times for 229 yards and two touchdowns as the Falcons defeated Old Orchard Beach.

We are proud to announce our selections for the Maine Four Stars of the Week! This honors the outstanding individual achievement from the five classes. Here are our selections for the stars and honorable mentions of Week Five.

Our Class A Star of the Week is Grant Hartley of Edward Little. In the Red Eddies 36-0 win in Waterboro against Massabesic, Grant went 6 for 10, passing for 152 yards and three touchdown while running seven times for 35 yards. He joins other prior Edward Little nominated alumni such as Matt Verrill(2014) and Teven Colon(2009).
The 1st honorable mention is Mike Lunney of Sanford. Mike had 16 carries for 149 yards with a touchdown, along with three sacks and two forced fumbles to help the Spartans defeat Bangor.
The 2nd honorable mention is Kordell Menard of Bonny Eagle. Kordell caught six passes for 79 yards with two touchdowns as the Scots defeated Thornton Academy.

Our Class B Star of the Week is Jack Bryant of Falmouth. In the Yachtsmen's 42-14 victory against Messalonskee, Jack went 17 for 27 for 205 yards, three three touchdown passes, and had 81 rushing yards and a touchdown. He joins other prior Falmouth nominated alumni such as Connor Aube(2015 & 2014), Matt Kingry(2011), Jack Cooleen(2010), and Zach Alexander(2010).
The 1st honorable mention is Carter Edgerton of Biddeford. Carter went 8-14 for 136 yards, threw two touchdown passes, and ran for 95 yards and a touchdown as the Tigers beat Mt. Ararat.
The 2nd honorable mention is Isaiah Schooler of Lawrence. Isaiah ran for 187 yards, had 24 receiving yards, and scored four touchdowns to help the Bulldogs defeat Mt. Blue.

The Class C Star of the Week is Ryan Fredette of Winslow. During the Black Raiders 35-33 win at Hermon, Ryan ran for 228 yards and three touchdowns. He joins other past Winslow nominated alumni such as Nate St. Amand(2015), Dylan Hapworth(2012), Joe Hopkins(2012), Donald Camp(2011), Johnny McCabe(2010), and Cody Souviney(2009).
The 1st honorable mention is Austin Baltazar of Morse. Austin had 13 carries for 231 yards and three touchdowns as the Shipbuilders defeated Belfast.
The 2nd honorable mention is Cody Gullikson of Fryeburg Academy. Cody ran for three touchdowns and caught a pass for a touchdown to help the Raiders defeat Gardiner.

Our Class D/E Star of the Week is Sean Whalen of Madison. In the Bulldogs 54-16 victory against Old Orchard Beach Sean ran for 175 yards, scored four 
rushing touchdowns, and returned a fumble for a touchdown. This is his second time being named a star of the week, he was nominated during week three. He joins other nominated Bulldog alumni such as Chase Malloy(2015) and Cody Saucier(2014).
The 1st honorable mention is Jaden Talbot of Washington Academy. Jaden had 33 carries for 190 yards and three touchdowns to help the Raiders beat Stearns.
The 2nd honorable mention is Keegan Choate of Winthrop/Monmouth. Keegan went 12 for 26, throwing for 191 yards with three touchdowns and rushing for 56 yards as the Ramblers defeated Ellsworth.

We are proud to announce our selections for the Maine Four Stars of the Week! This honors the outstanding individual achievement from the five classes. Here are our selections for the stars and honorable mentions of Week Four.

Our Class A Star of the Week is C.J. LaBreck of Thornton Academy. During the Golden Trojans 38-0 win against Cheverus, C.J. caught two passes for touchdowns, returned a kickoff for a touchdown, and returned a punt for a touchdown. He joins other Thornton Academy nominated alumni such as Will Mitchell(2017), Michael Laverriere(2016, 2014), Austin McCrum(2015), Eric Christensen(2012), Steve Trask(2009), and Zach Sheehan(2009).
The 1st honorable mention is Connor Sirois of Bonny Eagle. Connor went 7-10 for 74 yards, threw three touchdown passes, and ran nine times for 94 yards to help the Scots beat South Portland.
The 2nd honorable mention is Owen Garrard of Scarborough. Owen had ten carries for 144 rushing yards and five touchdowns as the Red Storm won over Massabesic.

Our Class B Star of the Week is Marcus Christopher of Skowhegan. During the Indians 48-29 win at Brunswick, Marcus threw for 431 yards and seven touchdowns. He joins over prior Skowhegan alumni such as Garrett McSweeney(2016 & 2015), Adam Clukey(2013), Adam Dusty(2011), and Kaleb Austin(2010).
The 1st honorable mention is Anthony Sousa of Cony. Anthony went 24 for 32 for 320 yards with two touchdowns in the air and one on the ground as the Rams defeated Mt. Blue.
The 2nd honorable mention is Jack Bryant of Falmouth. Jack had 26 carries for 233 yards, he ran for two touchdowns, and he threw a touchdown pass to help the Yachtsmen defeat Biddeford.

The Class C Star of the Week is J.J. Higgins of John Bapst. In the Crusaders 32-13 victory over Waterville, J.J. threw three touchdowns and ran for a touchdown. He joins other previous John Bapst nominated alumni such as Jackson Leonard(2014), Austin Spencer(2012), Devin Romain(2011), Jordan Charpentier(2010), and Bill Wetherbee(2009).
The 1st honorable mention is Brandon Sergeant of Lake Region. Brandon ran for 184 yards and three touchdowns to help the Lakers defeat Yarmouth.
The 2nd honorable mention is Colby Lee of Mount Desert Island. Colby had 14 carries for 123 yards, he ran for four touchdowns, and he recovered a fumble to help the Trojans defeat Hermon.

Our Class D/E Star of the Week is Nick Clawson of Foxcroft Academy. During the Ponies 45-18 win against Bucksport he was 5-7, threw for 97 yards and two touchdown, and ran for 157 yards and two touchdowns. He joins over nominated Foxcroft Academy alumni such as Peter Boyer(2014 & 2013) and Ryan Stroud(2009).
The 1st honorable mention is Dylan Boudreau of Old Orchard Beach. Dylan completes six of ten passes for 116 yards with one touchdown pass, and he had ten carries for 154 yards and three touchdowns to help the Seagulls defeat Poland.
The 2nd honorable mention is Brett Frey of Spruce Mountain. Brett went 10 for 16, throwing for 126 yards with four touchdown passes and one rushing touchdown.

We are proud to announce our selections for the Maine Four Stars of the Week! This honors the outstanding individual achievement from the five classes. Here are our selections for the stars and honorable mentions of Week Three.

Our Class A Star of the Week is Will Mitchell of Thornton Academy. During the Golden Trojans 32-28 victory over Scarborough, Will went 17-26 for 243 yards with three touchdowns in the air and one rushing touchdown. He joins over former Thornton Academy nominated alumni such as Michael Laverriere(2016, 2014), Austin McCrum(2015), Eric Christensen(2012), Steve Trask(2009), and Zach Sheehan(2009).
The 1st honorable mention is Alex Sprague of Bonny Eagle. Alex ran for three touchdowns and caught a pass for a touchdown as the Scots defeated Portland.
The 2nd honorable mention is Max Coffin of Cheverus. Max had 25 carries for 117 yards. He ran for a touchdown and returned an interception for a touchdown as Cheverus lost to Edward Little.

Our Class B Star of the Week is Austin Pelletier of Messalonskee. In the Eagles 57-42 win against Skowhegan, Austin had 33 carries for 341 yards and seven touchdowns. He was also named a Star of the Week in 2016. He joins over previous Messalonskee nominees such as Jack Bernatchez(2015 & 2014), Jake Dexter(2013), Sam Dexter(2011), Justin Tinsman(2010), and Keenan Knox(2010).
The 1st honorable mention is Marcus Christopher of Skowhegan. Marcus went 43 for 60 with 435 passing yards and five touchdowns as Skowhegan lost to Messalonskee.
The 2nd honorable mention is Anthony Sousa of Cony. Anthony went 18 for 30, threw for 254 yards and three touchdowns while running for 47 yards with a touchdown as the Rams defeated Brunswick.

Our Class C Star of the Week is Colby Lee of Mount Desert Island. During the Trojans 43-22 win in Bucksport, Colby had 21 carries for 313 yards with four touchdowns and an interception. He joins over past MDI nominated alumni such as Tanner Bickford(2015), Jon Phelps(2013), and Nat Hinckley(2009).
The 1st honorable mention is Adam Bertrand of Maine Central Institute. Adam had 11 carries for 121 yards with three touchdowns to go with two interceptions, one of which went for a touchdown, as the Huskies defeated Belfast.
The 2nd honorable mention is Ben Dorval of Winslow. Ben had ten carries for 154 yards with two rushing touchdowns and another touchdown on a punt return to help the Black Raiders beat Waterville.

Our Class D/E Star of the Week is Sean Whalen of Madison. During the Bulldogs 47-8 win over Winthrop/Monmouth, Sean had ten carries for 105 yards, ran for two touchdowns, and caught four passes for 120 yards with two more touchdowns. The 1st honorable mention is Lucas Francis of Lisbon. Lucas had 25 carries for 210 yards and three touchdowns as the Greyhounds defeated Mountain Valley.
The 2nd honorable mention is Cooper Chiasson of Dirigo. Cooper ran for 157 yards and made 12 tackles as Dirigo fell to Spruce Mountain.

Four Stars of the Week - Week Two

We are proud to announce our selections for the Maine Four Stars of the Week! This honors the outstanding individual achievement from the five classes. Here are our selections for the stars and honorable mentions of Week Two.

Our Class A Star of the Week is Jake Poole of South Portland. In the Red Riots 37-20 win against Massabesic, Jake went 12-20 for 102 yards, threw a touchdown pass, ran for 206 yards, and scored two more touchdowns on the ground. He joins other past South Portland nominated recipients such as Duncan Preston(2013), Michael Salvatore(2011), and Ryan Curit(2009).
The 1st honorable mention is Will Mitchell of Thornton Academy. Will passed for 120 yards with three touchdowns while also rushing for 59 yards as the Golden Trojans defeated Deering.
The 2nd honorable mention is Alex Sprague of Bonny Eagle. Alex ran for 170 yards with two touchdowns to help Bonny Eagle beat Windham.

Our Class B Star of the Week is Carter Edgerton of Biddeford. During the Tigers 35-28 victory over Brunswick, Carter went 10-15 for 233 yards, threw four touchdown passes, and ran for 86 yards. He joins past Biddeford nominated alumni such as Tyler Audie(2010) and Nick Gagne(2010).
The 1st honorable mention is Jake Littlefield of Kennebunk. Jake had 26 carries for 180 yards and ran for two touchdowns as the Rams defeated Messalonskee.
The 2nd honorable mention is Abram Meader of Mt. Blue. Abram ran for three touchdowns and scored on a two-point conversion to help the Cougars beat Hampden Academy.

Our Class C Star of the Week is Tim Albert of Leavitt. In the Hornets 73-0 win against Belfast, Tim went 5-5 in the air for 242 yards and five touchdowns. He joins prior nominated Leavitt alumni such as Levi Craig(2015), Jordan Hersom(2011), and Eric Theiss(2009).
The 1st honorable mention is Seth Bussell of Maine Central Institute. Seth had ten tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery as the Huskies beat Nokomis.
The 2nd honorable mention is Jared Chisari of Fryeburg Academy. Jared had 15 carries for 159 rushing yards and a touchdown to help the Raiders defeat York.

Our Class D/E Star of the Week is Keegan Choate of Winthrop/Monmouth. During the Ramblers 27-18 victory against Old Orchard Beach, Keegan threw for 168 yards with two touchdowns while running for 73 yards with two more touchdowns. He joins over past Rambler nominated alumni such as Nate Scott(2016), Alec Brown(2015), and Jared Hanson(2011).
The 1st honorable mention is Rayno Boivin of Mount View. Raynon threw two touchdown passes and ran for two touchdown passes to help lead the Mustangs over Ellsworth.
The 2nd honorable mention is Javon Williams of Ellsworth. Javon had seven catches for 231 yards with four touchdown receptions as Ellsworth lost to Mount View.

Four Stars of the Week - Week One

We are proud to announce our selections for the Maine Four Stars of the Week! This honors the outstanding individual achievement from the five classes. Here are our selections for the stars and honorable mentions of Week One.

Our Class A Star of the Week is Hunter Landry of Lewiston. In the Blue Devils 34-21 win over South Portland, Hunter had 10 carries for 122 rushing yards, he ran for one touchdown, he caught a pass for a touchdown, he intercepted three passes, and he returned one of those interceptions for a touchdown. He joins Jeff Turcotte(2011) as the nominated recipients from Lewiston.
The 1st honorable mention is Caden Begos of Edward Little. Cadeon ran for 142 yards and scored four touchdowns as the Red Eddies defeated Bangor.
The 2nd honorable mention is Dawson Stevens of Oxford Hills. Dawn had 32 carries for 186 rushing yards and ran for two touchdowns to help the Vikings beat Portland.

Our Class B Star of the Week is Bryant Kiley of Brewer. In the Witches 21-19 win against Lawrence, Bryant had 29 carries for 330 yards and he ran for three touchdowns. He joins other past Brewer alumni recipients such as Trey Wood(2016), Logan Rogerson(2015), and Jaime Williamson(2009).
The 1st honorable mention is Tom Springer of Marshwood. Tom went seven for nine, threw for 81 yards and three touchdowns, and ran for 79 yards and a touchdown as the Hawks won at Skowhegan.
The 2nd honorable mention is Jack Bryant of Falmouth. Jack had 24 carries for 123 yards with three touchdowns to help the Yachtsmen defeat Cony.

Our Class C Star of the Week is Michael Norton, Jr of Oceanside. During the Mariners 38-14 victory over Maine Central Institute, Michael had 16 carries for 182 yards, ran for two touchdowns, caught two passes for 85 yards and a touchdown, returned a kickoff for a touchdown, and recorded two sacks. He joins over previous Oceanside/Rockland alumni such as Brandon DeBrosky(2016), Sam Meklin(2012 & 2010), Derek Miller(2010), and Tyler Fogg(2009).
The 1st honorable mention is Jake Martin of York. Jake had 15 carries for 174 yards, ran for two touchdowns, and returned a kickoff for a touchdown in the Wildcats lost to Leavitt.
The 2nd honorable mention is Jared Chisari of Fryeburg Academy. Jared ran for four touchdowns as the Raiders beat Lake Region.

Our Class D/E Star of the Week is Lucas Francis of Lisbon. In the Greyhounds 36-13 win against Bucksport, Lucas threw a touchdown pass and had 20 carries for 110 yards and four touchdowns. He was also named a Star of the Week in 2016. He joins other Lisbon nominated alumni such as Quincy Thompson(2013 & 2012) and Zach Splude(2011).
The 1st honorable mention is Sean Whalen of Madison. Sean ran for 166 yards and scored four touchdowns to help the Bulldogs defeat Foxcroft Academy.
The 2nd honorable mention is Nick Clawson of Foxcroft Academy. Nick went 12 for 27, throwing for 157 yards and two touchdowns, and ran for 98 yards and two touchdowns in the Ponies loss to Madison.

The Maine Four Stars of the Week
is a weekly recognition which selects the top performing student athletes from each of the four football classes across the state of Maine.


The selection process consists of using media articles and box score recaps to select the top four performances of the week. Only accredited and authorized media sources are used in the selection process. Nominees are announced every week of the season up to the regional semifinals. Our selections will be announced on Tuesday following the games of the previous week.
