About Our Program
Subscribe to our NewsletterIn the spring of 2006, the Creekview Junior Grizzlies Baseball program was formed to allow the younger players who live in the Creekview High School district an opportunity to play competitive travel baseball at an advanced level.
The goals of our program are well defined. The Jr Grizzlies Program strives to develop our student athletes by building a passion for the game of baseball, teamwork, sportsmanship and character. The program emphasis is on player development, baseball fundamentals and developing the skills to help our players become competitive baseball players leading up to their high school years. While wins and losses are important, player development is our emphasis.
The Jr Grizzlies Program consists of travel teams at the 9u, 10u, 11u, 12u, 13u and 14u age groups. Each team is composed of 11-12 players. Tryouts are in July and players must participate in order to be considered for a team roster spot. The evaluation team in the tryouts will consist of head coaches from the Jr Grizzlies program. Team selections are announced at the beginning of August on our web site, www.jrgrizzliesbaseball.com.
The Junior Grizzlies play home games at Dwight Terry Park in Ball Ground. Each team particpates at different levels of travel baseball in the surrounding Cherokee area as well as tournaments around the state of Georgia. The average season consists of 25 - 40 games.
