Gay previously coached varsity cheerleading at Avoca Central School for 17 years. She was named coach of the year for 7 seasons, her teams earned 8 Section V titles, and during her last five years of coaching, she was the Steuben League Coordinator. She judged for many years, and was a local resource for fellow coaches and local Athletic Directors for rules interpretation. As a retiree as Treasurer of Avoca Central School, her accounting background together with coaching and judging knowledge is a benefit as a judge, but also with assistance of executive duties.
